I have been passionate about English since I was a teenager; I graduated in 2016 in Languages and Linguistic and cultural Mediation – Operators in Intercultural Communication (languages: Chinese, English, Spanish) at Università Roma Tre.

I got a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting in 2018 (language pairs: English-Italian; Italian-English) at Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici San Domenico, in Rome.

I attended several translation and interpreting courses and I got the TEFL Level 5 certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), becoming qualified to teach English as a second language. I currently give individual and group English classes in private schools.

In 2017, I worked as an Italian teacher for foreigners in several reception centers for refugees and asylum seekers.

I have been working as a translator in various fields since 2013. I am also a children’s books volunteer translator on StoryWeaver, verified translator for Translators without Borders, and articles’ volunteer translator for Global Voices.

We asked Alessandra to translate a variety of articles, legal documents, and technical documentation for MacStories. Her translations were top notch, with a timely delivery and excellent communication throughout the whole process.

I hired Alessandra for my website, since I needed to translate it to English. I must say it wasn’t an easy task, there were a lot of things to be translated. I am very happy because I encountered a lot of professionalism and expertise, she is very passionate about the English language. A meticulous, punctual, and patient professional. Great job!
